Relational Therapy 

I believe safe connection is vital to our well-being but because the stakes can feel so high relationships can be just as challenging as they are rewarding. If you and your partner(s) are finding that you are often stuck in the same fights over and over, navigating a life transition, or trying to move forward after a breach of trust, couples therapy can provide the support you need. 

I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy, an evidence-based method that begins by helping you understand the patterns of interaction that you and your partner get stuck in. Together we can explore the underlying feelings and unmet needs that are driving these patterns so that you can learn to meet each other differently. I also utilize somatic (body) and trauma focused and informed therapies in order to support couples whose relationships are impacted by one or both partner's trauma histories. This can be an important way to help create safety when you are caught in a cycle of reacting to one another.

I am trained as a sex therapist with experience in desire discrepancy, identity exploration, PTSD and trauma, ethical non-monogamy and polyamory, body image struggles, kink and BDSM, infidelity recovery, pleasure exploration and sexual anxiety.
